IRHA Hosts Panel to Interest Students in Careers in Rural Health

On April 16th IL Rural Health Association hosted a Virtual Rural Health Careers Panel Discussion targeting junior high through college aged students.  Healthcare professionals shared firsthand what their job really entails, in easy-to-understand terms, and answer students' questions to cultivate an interest in these high demand careers .Schools with the highest number of participants included SIUE, DePaul and Amos Alonso Stagg High School in Palos Hills. AHEC Illinois and HOSA also partnered with the Illinois Rural Health Association to promote the event.
